Galop has decades of experience in supporting LGBT+ people who are victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence, hate crime, so-called conversion therapies, honour-based abuse, forced marriage, and other forms of abuse

Helplines 

Switchboard are a LGBT+ Helpline. They are a safe space for anyone to discuss anything, including sexuality, gender identity, sexual health and emotional well-being. They are here to help you with whatever you want to talk about. Nothing is off limits, and they understand how anxious you might feel before you pick up the phone. Help line is open 10am - 10pm everyday 0800 0119 100

Health and Wellbeing

London Friend services are developed to improve the health and mental well-being of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex or Queer people and we work to be there when people need us most. Their services are delivered by trained LGBT volunteers and staff.

Outcome is Islington Mind’s LGBTQI+ specialist service, run by LGBTQI people with LGBTQI people. Their main aim is to provide a sanctuary for LGBTQI+ people – somewhere safe to socialise free from discrimination or feeling like the “odd one out”, receive therapies to improve mental health, and enjoy learning new skills in a supportive atmosphere. They meet every Tuesday between 11:00am and 4:00pm, both in-person and online. Their number is 020 7272 5038

PFLAG ​is the nation's largest organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQ+ people and those who love them.

Pride Sports are working to make sure LGBT+ people are able to get into organised sport and have an enjoyable and rewarding experience within sport. Take a look to find a local club.

Rainbow Call is a free telephone befriending service for LGBT+ people who are lonely, isolated or in need of companionship and feel they would benefit from a friendly phone call every week or two. This is a service specifically for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender plus (LGBT+) people aged 75+ who would like to speak to someone who’s also LGBT+. This is facilitated by Re-engage

Spectra London runs free and confidential counselling for people who identify as trans, non-binary or are questioning their identity.

Terrence Higgins Trust are the UK's leading HIV and sexual health charity. They support people living with HIV and amplify their voices, and help the people using our services to achieve good sexual health.

Housing

Stonewall Housing are the leading national charity supporting LGBTQ+ people of all ages who live in the UK and are experiencing homelessness or living in an unsafe environment. If you’re LGBTQ+, facing or experiencing homelessness, or living in an unsafe home please reach out to Stonewall Housing. All of their services are free and confidential.

Migrant Support

Rainbow Migration provide practical and emotional support to improve self-esteem and confidence, reduce isolation, and help access health services and housing. They also give specialist legal information and advice to LGBTQI+ people who are seeking asylum or making partnership applications to live in the UK with their partners. They have partnerships with several law firms to whom we can refer our service users for quality legal representation.

Youth Services and Support

Mermaids supports transgender, nonbinary and gender-diverse children and young people until their 20th birthday, as well as their families and professionals involved in their care. Transgender, non-binary and gender-diverse children and teens need support and understanding, as well as the freedom to explore their gender identity. Whatever the outcome, Mermaids is committed to helping families navigate the challenges they may face.
