Deputy Chief Executive (DCE)

Salary:                                £58,000 Full Time Equivalent (actual £46,400 per annum)

Contract Hours:             28 hours per week

Location :                          Flexible between Help on Your Doorstep's offices in Islington and remote working

Help on Your Doorstep (HOYD) is at an exciting point in our journey. Since 2009, we have been supporting residents in Islington to overcome challenges and thrive in their communities. Now, we are seeking a Deputy Chief Executive (DCE) to lead and inspire our services, working closely with our Chief Executive to drive strategic growth and innovation.

About the Role
As our Deputy Chief Executive, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Help on Your Doorstep. This hands-on leadership position will see you driving both operational excellence and strategic initiatives to ensure we continue delivering high-quality services that truly meet the needs of our communities. You will work closely with service teams, fostering collaboration and innovation, while also spearheading income generation efforts, strengthening partnerships, and securing vital funding streams. Additionally, you will ensure our services operate in full compliance with all regulatory standards. This role requires a dynamic balance of strategic vision and practical operational expertise.

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking an experienced leader with a significant track record in senior roles within the voluntary or public sectors. You should be adept at strategic planning, income generation, and managing diverse teams, with a proven ability to deliver results. A deep understanding of the challenges faced by communities experiencing deprivation is essential, as is strong financial acumen, exceptional communication skills, and a genuine passion for social justice.
