We will be closed for Christmas between 4pm on Friday 20 December and 10am on Monday 6 January. 

Services available during the Christmas period 

We have put together a list of useful contacts in case you need help and support over the festive period. 

  • NHS 111 is the free number to call when you have an urgent healthcare need. 
  • Police non emergency telephone number is 101. 
  • Islington Council's contact page includes a list of opening hours for their services over Christmas, including their customer contact centre, libraries, parks and sports facilities. 
  • The Samaritans are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a week. 
  • Citizens Advice offer advice online and via their national Adviceline. Open Mondays - Fridays, but are closed on bank holidays (Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day). 
  • Shelter provide housing advice online, in person and by phone. Their urgent phone line is open 365 days a year. 
  • Domestic Violence Helpline on 0808 2000 247 is open 24 hours a day. 
  • NSPCC Helplineon 0808 800 5000 is open 24 hours a day. 
  • Rough sleeping - If the weather gets cold (below 0 degrees centigrade) and you are concerned about someone sleeping rough in Islington you can email the Severe Weather Emergency provision team on [email protected] or call them out of hours (between 6pm and 9pm) on 020 75272000.
