Actively supporting residents through the Coronavirus crisis

Examples of the practical help and support we have been able to provide include

Getting emergency food parcels to vulnerable residents and linking them up with community food hubs for regular food deliveries.

Helping people access grants so that they can afford food and other essentials including baby care supplies for a new born.

Ensuring that older residents who are usually cared for by family members who can no longer visit due to the lockdown are linked into care from social services.

Keeping in touch with the residents who use our Good Neighbours Schemes to help maintain their health and wellbeing.

Linking some of our most isolated and vulnerable residents who are not allowed to leave their homes to a befriender who phones them regularly to have a chat and check that they are okay.

Making appointments for residents with specialist advisers on welfare benefits, debt, housing and employment issues.
