Bemerton: Up & Down Our Estate This film was made by young people living on the Bemerton estate, Islington. This estate is located in one of the most deprived wards in the UK. It explores their perspectives on life and wellbeing on the estate, showing what life is like for them. The Bemerton Good Neighbours scheme worked in partnership with St Mary’s Youth Club, Copenhagen Youth Project and an independent filmmaker to enable the young people to make this film. This project aimed to engage young people in discussions about health and wellbeing whilst giving them creative skills. Emma, who works at the Bemerton Good Neighbours scheme said: "It was great to see the young people so engaged with this process. It really gives and insight into how they see the area and their lives." At the end of August 2020, this film was featured at the Live Link Film Festival. The film festival took place across 3 days and showcased 20 films made by young people in Islington. Manage Cookie Preferences
